About IT Field Kit

IT Field Kit is a set of small tools for the person who looks after a network on site: an office IT tech, a managed-services field tech, a low-voltage installer, or the volunteer who keeps a school, church or club online. It does the arithmetic that comes up in a wiring closet (subnets, VLAN address plans, PoE power, how long a copy will take, how much space a RAID gives) and keeps a plain record of each site's networks and devices.

It does not scan, connect to or change any network. Every number comes from you, and every answer is worked out by published rules you can check (the field notes list them).

No accounts, no email, no tracking cookies. The public pages and calculators carry one banner ad from AdEngine, the small ad network run by WeldonPC, which sets no cookies; binder pages carry none. Your binder opens with a private link only you hold. See Privacy.
